Technoclot®PTOwren (manual)isathromboplastinreagentmodifiedaccordingtoOwrenforthequantitativedeterminationofProthrombinTime(PT)inhumancitratedplasmaandcapillaryblood.ThereagentisenrichedwithbovineplasmafromwhichtheprothrombincomplexfactorsII,VIIandXhavebeenremoved.ThebovineplasmaremainsasourceoffibrinogenandfactorV,whichthereforecannotbedetectedbythetest.
Technoclot®PTOwrenreplaces Thrombotest®andNormotest®.
Composition:
Thereagentislyophilizedandcontainsrabbitbrainthromboplastinandadsorbedbovineplasma.Theadsorbedplasmais addedasasourceoffactorVandfibrinogen.Technoclot®PTOwrenmanualisacombinedthromboplastinwhich alreadycontainsCaCl2.
