Circulatingmicroparticles,between1.0and0.1μminsizearederivedfromapoptoticoractivatedcells,containphospholipids,proteinsandotherconstituentsfromtheirparentcellsandarethrombogenic.Microparticlesarethoughttobeapivotalriskfactorforthrombosisinthrombophilicsubjects.
